XI Cyprus-Russian Festival

Cyprus-Russian Festival will take place in the first weekend of this summer, on the 4-5th of June.

It’s the 11th time when the Festival brings together all those who love Cyprus and Russia. The program of the Festival is getting more varied every year.

The Opening ceremony of the Festival will be attended by H.E. President of Cyprus Mr. Nicos Anastasiades, Cyprus ministers, members of the Parliament, ambassadors and public figures.

The Cyprus-Russian Festival is by far the biggest event of its kind in Europe. This year more than 1500 actors, dancers and singers from both countries will perform on three stages.

Cyprus-Russian Festival is:

  • Non-stop concert and entertainment program on 3 stages prepared by actors, dancers, singers and athletes
  • Festival Fair with a wide range of products – icons, books, toys, jewelry, cosmetics, organic products, sweets, fruits, ice-cream and etc.

Cyprus Land Theme Festival

Cyprus Land – A little island. A lot of history

The Cyprus Land project aims to travel the visitor back in time. Cyprus’s most important structures from the Middle Ages are recreated in miniature to illustrate, on a small scale, the way of life and economy of the castles and other monuments of Cyprus and to create a picture of life on the island when it was at the center of Mediterranean civilization.

Having painstakingly collected material regarding the major sites of the island, using modern technology and visualization tools, the theme park attempts to bring to life some of the scenes from the past. Relying on old prints, drawings and pictures and with the help of 3D printing, the original appearance of numerous monuments has been recreated.

This exhibition project is set to make a visitor’s experience more interesting, exciting and richer in knowledge about the wonderful island and the culture of its people.

Spring is the time to celebrate nature! The ancient flower festival signals the arrival of springtime.

On Saturday, at Potamos Yermasoyia Parking Place, visitors can enjoy an exhibition of beautiful Cyprus blooms, a rich music and dance show and local delicacies. Children can participate in different local arts workshops such as pottery making, basket making, painting, and more.

On Sunday, a spectacular beach front parade of flower festooned floats takes place in the Yermasoyia sea-side road. Floats have different themes from Cyprus tradition and spring inspiration.

tango1st Cyprus “Souvlaki” Tango Marathon

Limassol, Cyprus 6 – 8 May 2016

With the successful completion of the conventional “running” marathon, Limassol will host another kind of marathon, Argentine Tango.

Tango, originating in Argentina and Uruguay has been designated as an “Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity” by UNESCO.

The small island of Cyprus boasts a very active Tango community, where it is possible to attend a Milonga (a social tango dance evening) almost every day of the week in one city or another and tango enthusiasts don’t think twice before driving 80 kilometers to dance a couple of hours.

For the first time in Cyprus, a real tango marathon will be hosted by a group of dedicated dancers, 3 days of intensive dancing (6-10 hours) per day, with renowned international DJs from Italy, Greece, Israel, USA and of course Cyprus.

Κυπριακα γαϊδουρια στο Ριο 2016

Η Ολυμπιακή Επιτροπή μαζί με τον ΚΟΑ επέλεξαν ομόφωνα την Imperio να αναλάβει εξολοκλήρου την διακόσμηση του Ολυμπιακού χωριού στο Ρίο της Βραζιλίας που θα διαμένουν οι αθλητές μας κατά την διάρκεια των Ολυμπιακών Αγώνων. Η Imperio θα είναι στο πλάι της κυπριακής αποστολής φροντίζοντας για την ευμάρεια των αθλητών μας.

Μετά από πολλές ατομικές συναντήσεις που είχε η Imperio (sessions  1-1) με τους αθλητές, συστάθηκε ειδική ομάδα από InteriorDesigners, ψυχολόγους και συμβούλους με σκοπό να βελτιστοποιήσουν τις συνθήκες διαμονής τους στο Ολυμπιακό χωριό και να τις προσομοιάσουν με αυτές που τους είναι γνώριμες για αποφυγή πολιτισμικού σοκ, τζετ λαγκ και νοσταλγίας για την πατρίδα.

Σημαντικό είναι να σημειωθεί ότι θα συσκευαστεί και θα μεταφερθεί ειδικός κυπριακός αέρας με έξτρα οξυγόνο και σκόνη Συρίας και Σαχάρας για να διοχετεύεται στα δωμάτια των αθλητών της κυπριακής αποστολής.

Αξιοσημείωτα είναι τα δωμάτια του Παύλου Κοντίδη όπου στο μπάνιο του θα παρέχεται θαλασσινό νερό της Κύπρου και αμμουδιά της Λεμεσού και του Μάρκου Παγδατή όπου το στρώμα του θα αποτελείται από 2,500 μπαλάκια τένις υποστηριζόμενο από δίχτυ ρακέτας τύπου Kevlarενώ στον χώρο ξεκούρασης θα υπάρχει αιώρα από φιλέ μάρκας Pacific.
